For Kids Age 18-36 months & Caregivers

Sessions: Fall I, Fall II & Winter

Day/Time: Monday 9:30-10am

Instructor: Laura Downey

Fee: RPD Residents $65 / Non-Residents $75

Not quite old enough for Fairy Ballet or quite ready for a drop off class? Try Fairy Ballet with Me! This class is a first creative movement and ballet class for young children and a caregiver. Developmentally appropriate creative movement focused on gross motor skill development, imagination and story exploration will get your child moving through the space, becoming aware of his or her body, exploring creative impulses, and preparing for ballet basics. Caregivers are expected to stay and participate in class as a support to their child though caregiver movement through space is not a requirement. This class will culminate with a studio performance for family and friends.

All are welcome in Yoga Fusion, a yoga class for the whole family! The classes will be customized to fit the needs of all students, from little ones/beginners to more advanced yogis. Yoga Fusion will blend physical exercise, breathing techniques and meditation to improve flexibility, decrease stress and increase present-moment awareness. Classes will include sequences for individuals as well as movements/poses for families to try together. Recommended for kids 6+.

Day/Time: Wednesday 7:30-8:30pm (families & individuals)

Fee: RPD Resident $90 / Non-Resident $100

Dance your way to cardiovascular benefits by boogie-ing to live, exciting world music by Evanston’s own Jutta & the Hi-Dukes™. Bring your friends and family to sweat up a storm doing upbeat, fun traditional dances from many cultures. Recommended for kids 8+. 


For Kids Age 1-3 & Caregivers

Sessions: Fall I, Fall II & Winter 

Day/Time: Thursday 12-1pm

Instructor: Jacy Herman

Fee: RPD Resident $75 Non-Resident $85

Sing, dance, move and play with your little one! Caregivers can learn new songs, finger-plays and poems, plus enjoy old favorites along with their toddler or infant. Connect with your little one and other caregivers while learning more about how to foster a child’s whole growth and development.
