Ridgeville Park District partners with local youth organizations to offer a variety of camps and after school programs throughout the year. Please read specific times and options for each individual camp.

After School Programs
Working with local youth organizations allows Ridgeville Park District to increase our offerings for youth, adults, and families. During the school year, we host after school programs at the park.
Avalon Theatre Club
For Grades 3-8. Avalon Theatre Club is a FREE children’s theatre organization founded in 2018. Our aim is to promote inclusion, creativity, and diversity in the arts rather than focusing on prerequisites.
Avalon Elementary School Spring Session
For Grades 3-5. Students will rehearse and perform an original play. Actors of all experience levels are welcome, and fun theater games will be played along the way!

The Imaginary Game After School
For Ages 8-14. Evanston’s favorite summer camp comes to Ridgeville Park after school! The Imaginary Game is a live action role playing game. Make your flag; build your arms and armor; inhabit the world; reveal magic; taste sweet victory. This team-building program practices mindfulness and awareness, encouraging kids to explore their imagination and work together to create a world of adventure.
Dates: January 8-May 17, 2024 Day/Time: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, or Fri from 4-6pm (1-6pm on select *Wed) Location: Ridgeville Park (908 Seward St.)

Young Rembrandts
Anime/Manga Character Creation Workshop
For Ages 6-13. If you have Manga Mania, sign up for this class. Join Young Rembrandts for a 3-day drawing workshop; we’ll be drawing and coloring all things ANIME! Artists will learn to draw their own anime style characters ranging from easy to challenging – this is a great way to perfect those skills and learn new manga tricks. Each day students will complete multiple pieces of artwork like customized faces, animals, sugoi action and more ARTastic drawings.

SWHET Sports
Football Camp
For Ages 8-14. Is your child ready to take their football skills to the next level? The Ridgeville Park District has joined up with SWHET to bring you a football clinic hosted by collegiate athlete(s). At this clinic, participants will receive expert instruction from collegiate athlete(s) who know what it takes to succeed. SWHET’s instructor(s) will guide them through a series of engaging skill position drills and exercises tailored to beginner / intermediate skill levels. *Disclaimer* The amount of coaches in attendance is based upon about 10 – 1 registrant to coach ratio.

Mini Camps Summer
Ridgeville partners with local youth organizations to offer a variety of one-week camps in the summertime. Mini Partner Camps will take place in August, and are offered either half-day or full-day. Please read specific times and options for each individual camp.
The Imaginary Game Camp
For Ages 8-14 years. The Imaginary Game is a live action role playing game. Come join us for our epic three weeks of adventure at Ridgeville. This will be our fifth year of playing our big summer games right here at Ridgeville; every year the game gets better. Tell your young player to get ready: adventure awaits them in August! IncrediFlix
Animation
Ages 7-13. In this fast paced class, you’ll create up to four new stop motion movies using a different medium each day! Animate cars, film with green screen, and new for 2024 you create a 2D Mario movie, and more! Flix emailed within a month after camp ends.

Action Stop Motion Flix
Ages 7-13. Use stop motion tricks to create fires, explosions, and even floods, as your characters can battle it out or work together to save the day in this action packed stop motion class. You'll work in small groups to storyboard, create the action, film, and voice-over these exciting movies. Flix emailed within a month after camp ends.

Combo Animation & Action Stop Motion Flix
Ages 7-13. Join us for the full day combo for a discount ($495) plus free lunch supervision! Please see both half day descriptions. Bring snacks, lunch, and a drink.

Pokémon Engineering using LEGO® Materials
For Ages 5-7. Calling all Pokémon trainers! With the Pokémon Championship approaching, join our enthusiastic Play-Well Instructors as we build and catch our favorite Pokémon, rescue Pikachu from Team Rocket, take a ride on the S.S. Anne to uncover rare and mystic Pokémon, and battle to see who will hold the title of Pokémon Master. Come along on our journey to catch 'em all!

Minecraft Master Engineering using LEGO® Materials
For Ages 7-12. Bring your favorite Minecraft adventures to life with our enthusiastic Play-Well instructors. In a Minecraft world powered by LEGO® resources, we will build shelters to keep out Creepers, craft mystical items that only true masters can wield, and perfect our crossbow skills to stop the Wither from taking over! If you can imagine it, we can build it.
