Summertime may be great, but we have fun all year-round at Ridgeville Park District! We offer a variety of special events throughout the year. Come on out and join us.

Earth Day Celebrations

Celebrate our environment and show appreciation for our green spaces with us! This year, we’re offering a series of events throughout the weekend at all of our seven Ridgeville parks. All activities will begin with neighborhood trash pick-up (from home to and around the parks) with a PRIZE for the largest bag of trash collected! (see home page for details).

Flower Power Paint & Sip 

April showers bring May flowers, so you need a pot! Welcome back summer with this flowerpot paint & sip event, featuring wine from our friends at The Wine Goddess. For patrons age 21+.

Bike the Ridge

What could be better than the City of Evanston’s annual Bike the Ridge event? Combining it with live music, entertainment and games hosted by Ridgeville Park District at Ridgeville Park. Bring your friends, bring your bikes, and join the frenzy at the corner of South Blvd and Ridge Ave. A number of events will occur at Ridgeville Park, including live music, bike repairs and registration, and free bike helmets while supplies last.

Between 9am and 1pm Ridge Ave will be closed to all vehicular traffic from Howard to Church streets. Bicycles are not allowed on Ridge Ave at any other time, so come out and enjoy this non-competitive, city-sponsored special event.

Fall Frenzy

Join us at Ridgeville Park for a spectacular fall event perfect for the whole family. Features live music in the park, a candy scavenger hunt, arts & crafts, and pumpkin painting. Come dressed up or come as you are, all are welcome to this free community event!

Flannel Fest

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of Flannel Fest, a one-of-a-kind event that brings together the best of craft beer, fire, beards, and fun! Get ready to don your flannels and join us for an unforgettable experience filled with local brews and your friends at Ridgeville.

Winter Solstice Paint & Sip

Celebrate Winter Solstice and set your intentions for the new year! Pat Bernard leads this candle painting event, with a wine selection from our friends at The Wine Goddess. This event is for patrons age 21+

The Ridgeville Band of Evanston is a group music lovers with a wide range of life experience, from high school students to retirees.  They include teachers, lawyers, graphic designers, doctors, salespeople, social workers, computer programmers and students. Many members have played in high-school or college musical organizations before joining while others have played professionally and semi-professionally.  They are brought together by our shared passion for playing and sharing music and are proud that we create an easy-going, fun and supportive environment in which to play. 

This winter, the chamber ensemble made up of 6 players, will delight neighbors with some holiday favorites at the Community House. The whole family is welcome to join us for some refreshments and spirited music. This event is FREE, but does require registration to due capacity considerations.

Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day, or just Wednesday- join us for a relaxing, uplifting wine and craft event. For patrons age 21+.

Patties & Pints at the Park 

After a successful Flannel Fest in the fall, Ridgeville is happy to announce our first Patties & Pints! This beer event will feature local brews, a food truck or two, and traditional Irish tunes. Don your best green garments and gather with friends and neighbors! For patrons age 21+. Childcare options will be available.

Mr. Bunny Visits 

Hop into spring with Mr. Bunny! Families can book our bouncing buddy to visit their home with a gift basket. Get your cameras ready! He’s a busy bunny, so visits will last up to 10 minutes per household.
