Youth Camps 

Ridgeville Park District offers a variety camps throughout the year in accordance with the District 65 school calendar. We have options for kids from Pre-K to High School. All are welcome!


School-Year Camps 2023-2024

Ridgeville's school-year camps follow the tradition of our popular summer camps by offering kids a good time in a safe and nurturing environment. Camp activi­ties include arts and craft projects, games, outdoor sports (weather-permitting), and plenty of free time to play and make new friends. Kids should bring their own lunch, and snacks will be provided throughout the day.

D65 School Improvement Maker’s Workshops

Grades K-5. Does your child look at a cardboard box as having infinite possibilities? Do they save plastic containers for their next project? Us, too! Students will have time, space, and support to bring their creations to life. Workshops will focus on innovative ways to reuse materials typically destined for the recycling bin, building students’ creative thinking skills. Materials, techniques, and inspiration provided. Designed for students grade K-5. Workshops for half-day and full-day D65 School Improvement Days. Instructor: Victoria Livingston

Winter & Spring Break Camps

Grades K-7. Our winter and spring camps follow in the tradition of our popular summer camps- offering arts & crafts, sports, games, and plenty of time to play and make new friends. Camp Director: TBD

Spring Break Camp

*Due to staffing limitations, we are currently able to offer just one spring break camp for grades K-5, and our evening extended care is only available until 5pm.

Summer Camps 2024

Summer is a special time for Ridgeville Park District, there’s no doubt about it. Each year, we look forward to welcoming your children to the park for the summer. Our 8-week summer camps are divided into two sessions (June & July) and are open to rising grades 1st-3rd and 4th-7th. Rising 8th-9th graders are encouraged to participate in our Counselor-In-Training program if they’re looking forward to joining our outstanding counselor staff. For the littles (Pre-K & Kindergarten), we offer workshops with their Caregivers. All summer camp programs focus on specialized arts & craft activities, field games, and plenty of free time to make friends and lasting memories.

* To qualify for Early Bird registration, families must be residents of Ridgeville Park District and meet at least ONE of the following criteria:  1. Be a current recipient of the Free/Reduced Price Meal Program  2. ALL primary caregiver(s) work outside of the home

Summer Story Workshop

Preschool & Kindergarten Families. Summer Story Workshops offer an hour of jam-packed fun for families with preschool & kindergarten age children. Older and younger children are also welcome to participate but activities will be most fitting for children ages 2 to 5. Caregivers and children together will explore stories, creative movement, music, nature crafts and outdoor games. Each week will focus on a different theme and each day will include a well-loved activity (Bubble Tuesday or Parachute Thursday). Each day will end with 30 minutes of free play time. Camp Director: Laura Downey

Family Fee: $12/workshop Register

Please Note: The workshops meet outdoors only and will be cancelled in cases of inclement weather. Fridays may be used as make up days. This is not a drop-off class and caregivers are expected to participate with children. Accessibility accommodations are available. There is no bathroom or water access at this location. Please bring your own water bottle if needed.

Art & Adventure Camp

Rising Grades K-3 & 4-7. Art & Adventure Summer Camp encourages children to engage in arts & crafts projects, drama, music and dance, while also making time for field games, sports and other traditional camp activities. The camp will be shaped by the interests and abilities of all camp participants to ensure that a wide range of projects emerge throughout the summer. Projects might include everything from comic book making to collaborative painting to filming original stories. The camp will culminate with an open house that will be held at the end of each session. The event gives caregivers and friends the opportunity to meet Camp Directors, counselors, and celebrate the talent and achievements of the campers. Camp Directors: Quintrell Gary (K-3) & Josh Coveliers (4-7)

Counselor-In-Training

Rising Grades 8-10 (under 16yo). Did your teen love RPD Summer Camp as a camper? Do they still talk about their all-time favorite counselor? Now, THEY can be a summertime leader and become someone’s favorite counselor, too! Our CIT program is for rising 8th-10th graders. CIT’s will join one of our popular summer camps to work with RPD camp staff and learn the skills necessary to be a successful counselor, while enjoying a camp experience of their own. Camp Directors: Quintrell Gary (K-3) & Josh Coveliers (4-7)
